New Beginnings 2024

2024 is here and it’s bringing a lot of change for me and mine. 

I’ve made of point of setting goals and plan on working to achieve them. 

First up: pay off our attorney and get this financial mess under control.  As embarrassing as we find this bankruptcy situation to be, we’re relieved on some level that it’s providing us with a fresh start.  Of course it’s going to take years to recover financially, but it’s a start.  After working for years to get our finances in a place to be proud of and that afforded us a certain lifestyle it’s pretty disappointing to start over from scratch so I am curious how long the process will take, but am hopeful for a two to three month process at most. 

Next up: find a job once the bankruptcy is finalized.  James and I can live off of his income temporarily once the bankruptcy is complete, but it would be extremely beneficial for me to go back to work.  We are going to need that extra income to reach our next goal:

Find a new location/position for James within his current company.  We want out of this town and want to find someplace new.  Somewhere we’ve never lived.  Some place that would be a challenge for us, but affords us the opportunity to meet new people in new places and see new things.  We’d like to be out of here by next winter (Dec at the latest if possible). That will give him time to finish the improvement projects he’s working on here at the current park and give us time to save up enough money to pay for a move. 

So here we go.  Three goals and a drive to achieve them.  That’s where it starts.
